The adaptation of Jac Weinstein's New Year's Revue was done by Joanna Weinberg and Geoff Sirmai, based on an English translation by Simo Muir, for the 'Out of the Shadows' festival in Sydney, 2017.
Originally Weinstein's revue had three parts. The Merchant's of Helsinki production includes Part I (couplets) and Part III (one-act comedy The Broken Mirror) of the play, omitting some of the shorter sketches in Part II.
