This is the first full-length biography of the musician to appear in English in almost 30 years. A Czech version, Dopis od Gideona (Letter from Gideon), was published in the Czech Republic by P3K Publishing (Prague) to mark Klein's centenary in 2019.
The book received its launch at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, to mark Holocaust Memorial 2023, with the London launch hosted by the Czech Embassy in April 2023. Other promotional events will take place throughout 2023.
